Hello to the new readers and welcome back to those who saw my previous post about my journey to Reflexology;
So, my journey to aromatherapy; In 2018, I was travelling, you'll probably catch on to a theme here (I LOVE to travel), I was in Australia at the time visiting all the wonderful beings that I had met on my much bigger trip back in 2008-2010. I was staying with one friend and her Mum and she had gotten into the power of essential oils and ALL their benefits and was enthusiastically sharing all that she had researched, I was lapping up the information and whilst we were together, she let me use the sleep roller she had made and I can honestly say, I couldn't remember the last time I had slept so well. So when I got home, I bought the oils I had used with my friend and set about looking into aromatherapy more.
I think it's worthy to note that Aromatherapy is traditionally linked to massage (aromatherapy massage), however, when I was training to be a reflexologist, my teacher also used aromatherapy in her reflexology treatments and also produced stand alone blends. She offered an aromatherapy for fun day, I mean, I thought I was hooked before but after that, I was hook, line and sinker right in there excited. I went off bought books and a diffuser (a diffuser is a device that disperses essential oils into the air).
Following completion of my reflexology course, I signed up for the Essential Oils Practitioner course, completing this just a few weeks ago (originally it was called AromFlex, it is a reduced length course, aimed at aromatherapy for reflexology).
I'm now qualified to use essential oils along side foot, hand or facial reflexology or to produce a stand alone aromatherapy blend in oil, cream, spray to name a few, to assist with SO many things;
Stress / Anxiety Reduction Improved Circulation Pain / Inflammation Relief
Emotional Well-being Increased Energy Levels
Enhanced Relaxation
Detoxification
Improved Nerve Function Boosted Immune System
Better Sleep
Improved Digestion
Hormonal Balance Enhanced Mental Clarity Support for Chronic Conditions
If you would like more information on how essential oils can helps the above, please head over to the 'treatments' page of the website.
Please note; essentials oils can be contra-indicated with some medical issues and medications, it is paramount that you engage with a qualified therapist, who is trained to understand how to use the essential oils alongside your personal circumstances.
Tune in next time, it'll be a surprise post for you (and me).
